Curating the Policython Experience

The Cultural Policython, launched by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture, is a national initiative that empowers youth to shape the future of cultural policy in Saudi Arabia. Designed to align with Saudi Vision 2030, the Policython identifies innovative cultural policy ideas and brings them to life through a multi-phase journey culminating in an immersive policy bootcamp and a high-profile cultural innovation showcase. The initiative champions cross-sector collaboration, creativity, and youth-driven civic engagement in the cultural ecosystem.

The challenge

While Dice was not involved in the early virtual stages of the Policython, we were brought in to deliver its most visible and strategic touchpoints. The challenge was to design and execute two high-impact cultural events, a two-day policy development bootcamp followed by a formal government-led cultural event, that matched the Ministry’s standards, reflected Saudi cultural identity, and delivered a seamless experience for participants, judges, and VIP attendees, including the Vice Minister of Culture. Our scope included event planning, creative event experience design, event production, and full on-ground execution, all within a tight timeline and under national media spotlight.

The Bootcamp

Held over two immersive days, the cultural policy bootcamp served as a key platform for developing final ideas and selecting five standout teams to compete at the final stage. Dice was responsible for the entire experiential and spatial design, transforming the venue into an innovation-driven, Saudi-inspired space. This included branded collaboration zones, media walls, a custom judges’ area, and 15 interactive digital exhibition booths equipped with live streaming setups. From stage design and cultural theming, like Najdi doors and Sadu fabric accents, to branded materials and authentic Saudi hospitality, we created an environment that was both functional and emotionally resonant.

The Final Event

The Policython finale marked the official culmination of the initiative, attended by government officials, the media, and cultural thought leaders. Dice delivered the full event experience design, including VIP stage setups, main entrance gates, AVL production, and immersive branded spaces that elevated the aesthetic and professionalism of the event.

Our team managed all aspects of the live event production, from audience flow and translation services to VIP hospitality, media management, and live content streaming. To deepen the impact and anticipation, we also conceptualized, designed, and delivered premium cultural invitation boxes. These invitations were hand-delivered by trained ushers and served as a refined, high-touchpoint gesture that reinforced the event’s prestige and narrative.
